We are seeking an energetic, self-driven volunteer to manage the logistics of our regular Open Days. Our Open Days attract between 30 and 100 Guests of all ages, including some with mobility issues. We offer a sausage sizzle and baked goods as part of the Open Day programme.
The role would involve:
– Recruiting, selecting and inducting new volunteers
– Answering queries
– Managing volunteers
– Sending emails and social media posts
– Suggesting improvements to our current processes
– Implementing changes per committee direction
– Assisting with policies and procedure
– Managing the Event and volunteers ensuring the safety of Guests and the animals
– Dealing with issues and risks on the day
Pre-requisites:
– Ability to work autonomously while being able to take direction from committee
– Availability to attend all Open Days (currently held approx. every 3 weeks)
– Confidence in a leadership role
– Approachable and friendly to all
– Excellent time management & organisational skills
– Highly reliable
– Comfortable with email & social media
– Supportive of Farm Animal Rescue’s ideals
– Able to commit for a minimum of six months
Desired:
– Experience in a management role
– Follows a vegan lifestyle
