Thomas has been at the sanctuary since he was 6 weeks old. He is now 18 months old and weighs 230kg!
Since he arrived, Thomas has had a sponsor. However, we have recently been advised that that sponsor can no longer maintain his sponsorship. So we need a new animal hero to help us to look after him by making a monthly sponsorship payment.
Thomas was born into a horrid factory farm. His tail was cut off and his ears were cut to identify him. He has been genetically modified to grow very fat, have pale skin and not much hair. While he is a large and robust animal, signs of the effect of his genetic modification are already apparent. He has fat folds despite the fact that he is on a very strict diet and has a number of sarcomas from the exposure of his sensitive skin to the sun.
