Sweety
Pregnant Sweety was part of an Angus beef herd when she was rounded up for slaughter at the farm that she had been living at. She and Precious were unable to fit onto the truck, so rather than pay for another truck to come out the farmer gave them way – which led them ultimately to their home at Farm Animal Rescue.
Shortly after arriving Sweety gave birth to daughter Sally, who she now lives with at sanctuary. Sally is a friendly soul who likes pats and cuddles but her mom Sweety, who has experienced the harsh realities of the food industry, most definitely does not approve.
Sweety is not for patting or hugging, or even for being near. She likes to avoid humans whenever possible. But she is an amazing mother and an integral part of the sanctuary herd.
