Bubble and Squeak
In November 2011 a tiny baby chick was found on the sidewalk in Woollangabba, not far from “The Gabba” stadium. Thankfully the person who found the chick was a compassionate soul and decided to look after the baby, who was called Bubble. Here he met who was to become his lifelong friend, Squeak, an orphaned duck, and they became inseparable.
In March 2012, nearly 10 years ago now, Bubble, and his friend Squeak, became FAR's first residents. Each day for the pair is spent foraging around the farm, spending time in the chicken coop, bathing in the sun, and spending each and every moment of their time together.
Inspiring artwork from artists such as Neil Martin (above), and teaching everyone who visits the sanctuary about friendship, resilience and living each day to the fullest, Bubble and Squeak paved the way for the 100's of rescues that have enjoyed a full and rich life at Farm Animal Rescue over the last 10 years.
