six years of animal rescue and advocacy and provides those who join us details of our exciting plans for 2019.
The menu is being created and executed by the incomparable Alejandro Cancino. Alejandro was awarded UK Young Chef of the Year in 2008 and led the Bulgari Hotel, Tokyo to a Michelin star. Until recently Alejandro was Executive Chef at Brisbane’s highly acclaimed Urbane Restaurant. He is now co-owner with his wife Paola of Fenn Foods, a purveyor of upscale vegan products, a new cafe and exclusive dining restaurant on the Sunshine Coast and soon launching Lola’s a gourmet vegan catering company. Alejandro was awarded Chef of the Year 2013 by The Good Food Guide and Best New Talent by Australian Gourmet Traveller. Alejandro uses primarily local, organic, artisan and fair trade produce. If you haven’t experienced Alejandro’s brilliance before now, you are in for a treat.
Emma Dean will be headlining our musical entertainment program. Emma has worked with John Farnham, Kate Ceberano and Katie Noonan, and recently was a featured soloist in the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony. Emma has performed with Kate Miller-Heidke, Katie Noonan, Placebo, Macy Gray, Jinkx Monsoon, Amanda Palmer and the Dresden Dolls as well as playing leading roles in Cabaret and The Tempest. Emma has been listed as “one of ten artists to watch” by The New York Post and is a receipient of the prestigious “Under Our Wing” cabaret award. Emma will transform your evening with her marvellous vocals having been described as 50% Wicked, 50% Tori Amos and 100% addictive.
DJ Madd will play out the evening with hits from the 60’s to today, DJ Madd is also the lead singer of Dr Bombay and is always a crowd pleaser with a wide variety of distinct but popular and memorable tunes that will keep you dancing into the night.
Our Silent Art Auction will feature art from a number of acclaimed local artists. In the past we have featured Jo Frederiks, Carla Benzie, Eugene Rubels and Vincenza Benzie to name a few. Check back for more details!
Your ticket includes fine dining, welcome Bubbles on arrival, musical entertainment and dancing. We will be operating a cash bar and will be offering just released new season merchandise and art pieces for sale. Our never before seen 2018 video and 2019 calendar will be released during this event. Accommodation is available at the nearby Hotel Dianna.
The dress code is black tie or formal.
