Join us for our 1st Annual Hoe Down, here in Dayboro on April 30th, 2016.
We will be fryin’ up some delicious food, and partying down to a professional caller and some wicked country tunes. Country gear is an absolute requirement, as is doin’ some hootin’ and some hollerin’.
We’ll start the night by watching the hens, goats and sheep being rounded up and moved into their barns. Then, after enjoying some vegan viddles, we’ll be schooled by an expert caller in the basics of hoe down dancin’ and then we’ll watch the arms and legs fly! We will have moonshine available for purchase and your little ‘uns are welcome to join, but soda’s only for them!
Options for camping overnight at the sanctuary, including joining our volunteers for barn opening, will be available closer to the date. A charge will apply. The sanctuary is 45 minutes from Brisbane City for those who wish to return home after the event and not stay at the farm.
